Hello Everyone! Here's a few things to know NOW!

Hello Everyone!

We are so blessed that you want to be part of the Megan and Family Community! This will be the "go-to" place for schedules and updates.

Here are a few answers to help!

*Celebration: Baby James was born on Friday morning by C-section; he weighed 6lb 14 oz. Mom and baby are healthy and well.

*funeral: Wednesday, November 30th, at 1pm at Antioch Community Church at 20th and Waco Drive. (505 N. 20th St., Waco, TX, 76707)
After Brandon’s funeral service, there will be a reception/visiting for family and friends at Kathy Wise's house, 1825 Washington.

After service, please remember to sign the photo book with memories and stories of Brandon.

HOW TO HELP NOW::

1. Pray for Megan and for the Monnich family

2. Bring a meal. If you did not receive the meal plan e-mail, contact Allison Allen at ahambyallen@gmail.com and click on http://www.takethemameal.com/ (last name: Monnich, password: food)
Please note that drop off location for food is not at Monnich’s house, but just around the corner at Allison and Kirk Allen’s house. (SEE BELOW ABOUT ALLISON'S INSTRUCTIONS)

3. Visit Megan. Call first. Home 254.399.0059 and cell 254.366.1453

4. Make a donation to the Monnich Children's college fund at Educator's Credit Union (501 W. State Hwy 6, PO Box 20728, Waco, TX 76702). The account is under Megan Monnich and is marked as Monnich Children as well.

5. Send a gift card for places Megan shops: Wal-Mart, HEB, Old Navy, Starbucks, Target. Try to think of things that Megan will always need, ie. baby wipes. NOTE: *Megan is using cloth diapers.*
Megan's mailing address is 707 N. 13th, Waco, TX 76707

6. Send notes of encouragement now and throughout the coming year; consider choosing a day of the month and sending encouragement monthly for a year.

7. Pick up Elijah and take him to the park, zoo, Mayborn, etc.

8. Not that Megan is incapable of swinging a hammer, but hey, if you have the urge to do some "around the house" keeping: yard work, trash pickup, maintainence, and other "masculine" tasks, please come by and help. It is those thankless jobs that mean the most.

Notes from Allison Allen . . . (courtesy of Take a Meal website)"Please note that meals will be delivered to my house (Allison) at 611 N. 14th Street. A hot & cold cooler will be available on my back porch for drop off so there's no need to coordinate an exact drop off time with me. Just pull in the back driveway that faces Barron. Megan lives just around the corner from my house so if you want to visit her when you deliver the meal just call her ahead of time at 399-0059.

Please plan to make food for 2 adults and 3 yr. old Elijah, as Megan's mom will be staying with her for awhile. And no one has any food allergies. "

  2. Megan & Family: While I never had the chance to get to know you all, I do get a sense of what a special family you have by looking through all your pictures. I am truly sorry for your loss. The Kings will be sending our prayers and thoughts your way and to the rest of the Monnich family. Brandon was like an older brother to me in high school. Will there be a ceremony in Lincoln or Nebraska? Perhaps you have not made it that far? If there is anything my wife and I can do, please do not hesitate to let us know. There are many many friends here and across the country who I know feel the same way. We all love Brandon! I can be reached at 402.430.4897 or by land-line at 402.483.6213. Sincerely, Daniel N. 4. When I received the news, my chest was filled with that heavy, swollen feeling and I was devastated. Brandon, you were a great mentor whose lessons--not only in sports but in life--I carry to this day. Your jovial and cheerful personality would lite up many a rooms. Above all, I will remember "Monnich-man" the most! My condolences to Megan and the Monnich family, my thoughts and love go out to all of you.

  5. I thought to myself...WOW!!!"Is this a dream?" Then I woke up to reality... and was heart broken because Brandon was there for me through thick and thin. He was the one that ALWAYS put a smile on your face even if your having the worst day ever...Brandon and I used to wrestle and when he would always ask if i would go to the outlet malls...because Brandon loved to shop for people. He was a giving person and always thought of others before himself... I want to thank Megan and her family for being there for me when I needed them!!!!! I love you and miss you "B"
    Love Always,
